LAGUNA WATERPARK – DUBAI
Dubai-based MERAAS has delivered multiple projects in numerous sectors including real estate, retail, hospitality, food and beverage, leisure and entertainment and healthcare. As a part of their development, they were looking to impose themselves within the theme and waterpark industry; a sector seeing a great deal of traction within Dubai and other local areas.
Laguna Waterpark is the latest addition to Meraas’ world class urban destination La Mer. We were approached by Meraas to deliver initial concept, concept development, visual identity, and schematic design for the waterpark.
LEGOLAND Coastguard HQ – LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, UK
LEGOLAND Windsor is a theme park and resort in Windsor, England, themed around the Lego brand.
The park’s attractions consist of a mixture of Lego-themed rides, models, and building workshops targeted at children between three and twelve; while not an actual waterpark itself, Legoland Windsor boasts several water rides which have seen great popularity over recent years.
Merlin Magic Making appointed Scruffy Dog Creative Group to design and build the new boating lake – ‘Coastguard HQ’. Coastguards HQ is an interactive, family friendly boating adventure where guests can drive electric LEGO-style boats through an exciting and meandering course, filled by a mixture of large scale LEGO sculptures and plastic 3D models of various forms from crashed boats to construction workers and more!
MYTH ISLAND – CAMBODIA
Myth Island is a conceptual theme park designed by Scruffy Dog Creative Group combining an adventure park, shopping district and indoor arcade with a high octane, multiple experience waterpark.
The waterpark design features multiple areas themed around a range of different civilizations from the Mayans to Vikings and the Ottomans, with the narrative of guests being ‘time-bandits’ navigating between realms. Attractions envisioned range from paintball & jeep safaris through to lazy rivers and a wide range of aquatic slides and rides.
In addition, a multi-cultural food and retail street which was envisioned to provide an exciting route between the waterpark and the adventure park.
